This looks very confusing. These signs are in McGuire’s Irish Pub in Pensacola, Florida. If you were a bit tipsy & in a rush which one would you choose?

There is a simple trick about this optical illusion, but first take a look these two images below and see what they look like to you. Do those balls appear to be on the ground on the first and up on the second image? They sure do if you orientate by the shadow below the balls. We can’t mistrust the shadow, or can we? Yes we can. Now look at the shadow position on the first and the second image and you’ll see that balls stand on exactly the same place they did on the first image, but the shadow is moved. isn’t it?

There are two principals at work in this optical illusion. One is that our mind tends to convert angles to right angles. In the process of doing that, the red lines become slightly bent.

The second is that, the black lines give the illusion of looking down a tunnel. We assume that tunnel is round. Since this “tunnel” looks round, the red lines appear to be rounded, also.

Finally, you may notice that the background seems to shimmer and shake. This is normal given the strong contrast in the background fan.

When I first saw “Rat Race” in the movie theater I could hardly breath for laughing at this scene. Even now when I think about it I smile and chuckle to myself because it’s so funny. “Adolf Hitler” speaks to a group of WWII veterans.

The yellow dots placed off the center of sight appear to vanish, the dots will immediately come in to your view no matter where you were looking in between this image.

Even though I don’t have the time to play it, I’m still lusting after a Nintendo Wii. My brother Donal kindly lent me his one last week but I’ve only played it 2 or 3 times. No spare time.
